    Shedding

Your chunky merino blanket is a delicate product since it is made from the unspun Merino wool yarn, natural shedding and pilling might occur. Please keep it away from abrasive materials which can cause damage to tender blanket. There is nothing better and easier than do it by hand. Pull it in the direction of wool and the unwanted layer will come of. Sometimes when the area is bigger it is worth rolling the center of the layer between your pointing finger and thumb to compile a small hard ball and then pull it away in the direction of the wool. Eventually, wool will fibers will ‚sit‘ together and stop shedding. Do not use a brush or comb! If you intend to utilize your new chunky knit blanket for everyday use rather than purely decorative purposes, we recommend washing it in a washing machine or bath to help the wool fibers felt and eliminate shedding. Please don't hesitate to contact us, and we will gladly furnish you with comprehensive instructions on how to wash your blanket without causing damage. Stains

Clear stains immediately. If you spill something on your blanket that leaves a mark on it do not leave the cleaning for later. To remove stains use cold or room temperature water. Fill in the bowl with water and soak the contaminated area. Do not put all blanket to bowl it will get heavy and you will not able to lift it especially if you have a large one. You can use gentle liquid wool soap if needed (for instance if you spilled red wine). It will not harm your blanket. Make sure you do not stir at any circumstances. It will felt and wool fibers will interlock together. After 10 minutes in the water take the contaminated area out and give a gentle squeeze to remove contaminated water and put it back to the bowl. Repeat this until you are happy with the results. It might take 2-3 times. After you finished you can rinse the area of your blanket in clear water if you used wool soap. After rinsing squeeze it once again between two towels it will remove water quicker. Leave it on the flat surface to dry.

    Dust

Dust and pet hair will naturally stick to your blanket. There is nothing better than giving it a nice shake instead of spending hours to remove hair and dust by hand. If you see stitches get deformed you can either fix it by hand or give it another shake.

    Smell

Wool fibres do not absorb smell so there is nothing better than airing it out and giving it a breeze of fresh air. Do not use any chemical, bleach, vinegar, alcohol, another fragrance. It will not harm your blanket but you do not need it simply. Do not wash your blanket in the washing machine. Water, fraction, and temperature will cause wool fibres to felt and lose its cloud softness and look.

Yes, merino wool is generally considered hypoallergenic due to its fine and soft fibers, which are much gentler on the skin compared to traditional wool. Its natural breathability and moisture-wicking properties help keep your skin dry and comfortable, reducing the chances of irritation. Additionally, merino wool contains lanolin, which has antimicrobial qualities, making it less prone to harboring allergens like dust mites. However, if you have a specific wool allergy, sensitivity may still occur, though it's far less common with merino wool than with coarser wools.

Merino wool stands out from regular wool due to its exceptionally fine, soft fibers, making it much gentler on the skin. Unlike traditional wool, which can feel coarse and itchy, merino wool is known for its smooth texture and lightweight feel. It also has superior moisture-wicking and temperature-regulating properties, keeping you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Merino wool is highly breathable, odor-resistant, and dries quickly, making it ideal for active wear. These qualities make merino wool a premium choice for comfort and performance compared to regular wool.
